The success story of YPM in higher education is now repeated again with the achievement in continuing the legacy of HELP project. The Malaysia Japan Higher Education Program (MJHEP) is now being introduced as a continuance of the HELP III project. YPM as implementing agency collaborates with MARA-Japan Industrial Institute Beranang (MJII-Beranang) to conduct a 3 year diploma program namely Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Upon successful completion of the program in Malaysia, the students are eligible to continue their studies in selected Japanese Universities directly into the third year bachelor’s engineering degree programs.

The curriculum/syllabus uses the HELP III fundamental, a 3+2 undergraduate twinning program with the diploma in engineering is certified by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) of Malaysia for a three (3) years Engineering Diploma Program in Malaysia.

The HELP project has proven to be successful in bringing new era to the Malaysia education system. Yayasan Pelajaran MARA as the agency under MARA is aggressively moving forward in realizing to be the Japan Education Hub in Malaysia. Thus, the new MJHEP is a big transformation in Malaysia higher education system. MJHEP is estimated to be implemented for 10 years commencing from 2011 and expected to finish in 2022.
